Iconoclast!

Wow… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

The 8 final American Idol contestants sing Darlene Zschech’s Shout to the Lord, a song that just refuses to die. Yes.

The swaying back and forth in step, the all-black choir, the videos of disenfranchised black children. It’s just all so condescendingly beautiful.

That’s almost as bad as this other horrid video I came across.

  1. Did merging lanes really just try to rick roll me? Too bad it doesn’t work on me because I love that song! (never gonna give never gonna give…)

    American Idol, a few thoughts.

    1. I’ve loved the show for a long time — can’t watch it anymore. I lost interest this season. Must be all that “best talent ever”.

    2. Shout to the Lord is such a bizarre song to pick for so many reasons. I’m perplexed.

    3. Most interesting to me is the reaction it’s causing. People are all kinds of mad for all kinds of reasons. Fascinating stuff!

  2. BLARGH!

    RICK ROLLED!

  3. Wow… the overly studied swaying is genuinely painful to watch… not to mention the artful editing out of Jesus
